I give a stress dose shot anytime my SW CAH boys throw up (if it is illness realated,  my little one would gag and throw up once in while),  both of my boys got into trouble,  almost shock,  hypoglycemic episodes,  overnight due to throwing up,  earlier in the day and keeping meds down.  Since that time I always give the shot,  it has worked very well for us.

Both my boys threw up this holiday season,  I gave them both a shot, and they did fine.  My oldest did not wake us up, and he was really not feeling well by morning.
