Carrie,

Just think....you are a step ahead of everything this time!! When my second child was born, we knew from CVS that he had SWCAH. My first child had SWCAH and we didn’t know until she was born. So we felt better about going through it again because we knew all of the in’s and out’s this time. My son was born weighing 8 lbs, 2 oz., kicking and screaming! (And he was 3 weeks early!). No problems whatsoever! We spent the normal amount of time in the hospital. We started him on his meds after a couple of days. The endo wanted to see the initial lab work first. And he is 2 years old now and hasn’t missed a beat. Just as healthy as can be! I hope this eases your mind.  If you were like me with the first child,  looking back on everything, it seems such a blur now. I was upset and scared when our daughter was born so all of that overshadowed the joy of having a baby. So, when our 2nd one was born, I was determined to enjoy the experience and remember every little thing that I could about him being born. So you are prepared now, I’m sure you will have a much happier experience this time!!! Good Luck!
