Good for you Jen!!  My husband & I also gave the shot for the first time recently and doing it together really helped.... I was almost glad we had to because it showed me that it is not all that scary after all. Also taught me the importance of being prepared to give it. The other day I had a public health nurse come over & we did a session on how to give the shot. My best friend who sometimes looks after my daughter wanted to learn how to do it just in case. We used my arm so she would get the feel for the real thing. My daughter watched and thought it was fun to see Mom get the shot!! (We used sterile water) 

 It always amazes me how fast they respond to the solucortef. It makes good sense to give the shot rather than have them get sicker or worse yet go into adrenal crisis. I am so glad your sweetheart is feeling better and power to you!!!
