Liz , first of all  I want to say that it was not so hard on my 13 month Granddaughter. (she is five now) Children are  QUICK at recovery! The only advice I was given after surgery was not to let her ride on ride toys for a while .(trikes /rocking horses ect. ) Anything she would have to straddle. She was up and about in a few days after surgery. Rest easy..... the hard part is over (making the decision) also while they are in surgery you do worry very much about them. I will pray that all goes well and you will get some rest when this over with. Good Luck.
