Julia in CTFirst off let me say that I hope my little girl has friends like you when she is 14. Secondly, as the others have said, the symptoms you describe are definately NOT normal. He needs to see his endo soon. Can you talk to him about his CAH? I know it’s not the same as talking to someone who has the condition, but it seems that since he told you he has CAH that maybe you can talk with him. If you can, please steer him here. Let him know he is not alone. If you live in a fairly rural area, I know it can feel that way....we never even heard of CAH before Chelsea was diagnosed and still constantly run into doctors, EMTs, etc that don’t know what it is. Please let him know that his condition is manageable! He needs to take his meds properly, and he needs to talk....to you, to someone here, to anyone he trusts. Feeling "different" than everyone else is awful, and when you really are kind of "different" that just makes it worse. Please tell him that CAH is no different than the kid in your school with diabetes, or even the ones who wear glasses....he just needs to use the tools that will help his body function properly, just like they do. Please post back and let us know how things are going.
God Bless.
