aimeeDear Liz,
I’m glad that you were ok with my posts. I expect the surgery to be good and also recovery. Any nerves that may be lost is something that you must come to terms that may happen- I’ve talked with this in their 20’s and some say senation is OK and others say they have none. Surgery that you will have done to her will wait for follow up and they will learn later the outcome for her sexual organ. Just mack sure the surgeon answers all of your questions and feel better.
It’s not really about the surgery...really I expect surgery to improve over the years and especially if this surgeon does alot of these types of surgery then hope for the best but also be prepared for the worst. Surgery is different based on the degrees of virilization and sucess on the medical knowledge and skill of the surgeon. My surgery was very good for the time period and degree of virilization Prader Five but the thing is ...it’s not really how good or even how bad but how the person that owns the body feels about it.
I think that is why you are nervous about all this being done - why saying surgery early puberty then the switch to know?
Peace and I hope you feel better.
