re: To Cindi - Son’s update

Stacy, I have been thinking of your son ever since you posted. My son’s first birthday is tomorrow and I know your son’s is coming up also. While I have been preparing for his little party I have been sending out “good” vibes that your son will be well and happy on his special day.

Dr. Zeitler mailed me a four-page document with everything that we talked about and the procedures that he did and lab work that he requested. I have never had a doctor do that before! He is running all the CAH tests again. He stated in the paperwork that the lab messed up on the last tests so he is rerunning them. He is also checking for Central Precocious Puberty, which means there is a tumor on the hypothalamus that would have to be removed. He believes it is either CPP or CAH. I should be hearing something any day now.

I talked with Jackson’s ped doctor today and they are getting the paperwork ready for him to have an MRI. I hate it because he has to be sedated while they do it. The other thing that came as a shock was Jackson’s bone age was taken by x-ray when he was eleven months old and the results were a bone age of 2 years and 8 months. He never really has been a “baby” because he is so huge. Thank you for your concern. I do appreciate it. I hope I will have an update soon.

I also wanted to let you know that I believe two of my sons had RSV when they were very small, they both were hospitalized and put in oxygen tents for a few days (they are now in their twenties). You were asking about asthma. One has asthma and the other gets a bronchial virus like clockwork once a year that puts him out of school and work for weeks. I do not know if this has anything to do with having RSV when they were younger.
