I agree research is a GOOD thing IF it is done in a correct manner. Being a MOTHER I must ask would you want your daughters genitals examined , veiwed. written about , studied, poked , prodded, filmed, published, discussed in a forum? Who do we use as dummies and patients to further this research. What persons body do you devalue enough to let this sort of behavior continue? If it is your own ...... GO for it! The medical field appreciates it and WE ALL benefit from it. The moral issue is Where do we draw the line on who and what age should this happen to one? How do we make this happen without the expense of someone elses ridicule or pain? No ONE is BASHING research in general. We are protecting the RIGHTS of our childs privacy and  mental health. There is not a Parent in the CAh world that does not want a cure or prevention and research for CAH. But we do want it done in a proper forum and not the INTERNET . What we do want is CORRECT information displayed on the support board so OTHERS cannot continue to view CAH as an intersex condition. All we are asking is for the ones that are asking to be discreet and understand you are not talking about a lab rat here......YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT MY CHILD. Until the mediacl community can find a WAY to do the research and studies in a non- demeaning manner. What Parent would subject there child to this? It is our job to protect them from the evil and wrong  in this world and to give them a sound moral upbringing.......letting someone use ANY aspect of there genitals for questioning or research  over the internet is just plain wrong . WE ARE THE ADULTS AND THE PROTECTORS.
