Hi Julia,

Yes, my son was supposed to see Dr. Rivkees the day of the snowstorm, but we ended up rescheduling for a later date.  I am sorry I missed you, but glad you had such a positive experience.  He is a terrific doctor!

I am sorry about the incident with this mb, but--in thinking about it--it may partially have been my fault!  I know Dr. Rivkees doesn’t read the mb much at all...he only glances at it from time to time.  I happened to see your earlier post about the day of the snowstorm and casually mentioned to him that someone had left a very nice note about him on the board...didn’t think any more about it until your most recent post!  It sounds like he probably read it and shared the nice things you said with his assistant.
I can understand being taken aback when you recently called to make your appointment, and am sorry if I inadvertently contributed to the situation...I was just trying to pass along good news!  However, I can almost guarantee you that it was an isolated instance and has nothing to do with anyone at Yale monitoring this mb closely or scrutinizing every post.  As I mentioned earlier, my son has been a patient there for more than 6 years--about as long as I have read and posted on the mb--and I have NEVER been recognized!

Anyway, I am sorry we missed each other...maybe next time!  Thanks for passing along that Dr. Rivkees "thinks very highly" of me.  As I mentioned, I was starting to feel very much like a wallflower, so he is lucky you helped him off the hook!

Take Care, Carol
