Misty-

Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV)  is most harmful to infant and toddlers because of their small bronchi and bronchioles. Older children and adults can get it this virus also but to them it will be a bad chest cold.  Dr’s do not give nebulizers to patients that do not need them. If Blake is not wheezy/having a tightness in his chest then, it would not concern me if the doctor did not give my child a breathing treament/nebulizer.

This is a great website on RSV www.rsvinfo.com

Antibotics are only used for treatment of bacterial infection good medical consumers we do not want to give our children antibotics that are unneed or unnecessary. Over treament of antibotics is the reason that we have antibotic resestant bacteria.

I would not triple Blakes dose of Cortef if he is not running a fever. Make sure that he is getting a lot of Gatorade or Pedialyte (would be the best but it is more expensive).
