We just went through this with our 1 yr. old.  He was hospitalized a couple of weeks ago with RSV.  They decided to admit him after trying the nebulizer for a day with out improvement to his Oxygen in take (he was hovering around 88% without aid).  So we ended up spending 3 nights at the hospital but they only thing they did was give him constant Oxygen and suck his nose out with the super sucker.

I did call his Endo and he suggested we triple his meds while he was struggling (we had already done this but wanted to check in with him anyway).  Like the others said better to error on the side of caution since it won’t hurt him.

My 6yr. old also had it at the same time, hers’ actually lasted longer.  Once my son was discharged it only took him a couple of days to shake the cough.  Both my children are SWCAH’s and we watch them closely with illnesses and if I feel like they are struggling even if there isn’t a fever, vomitting or diarrhea I still will double or sometimes triple.  I think staying a head of the illness is better then trying to catch up later.

Just a quick question did they check Blake’s Oxygen level?

Hope everyone is on the mend...
