We’ve always had a +/- hour attitude, but that’s mostly for nap times. I guess it really depends on the schedule you’re on. We dose at 6am, 2pm, and 10 pm. Erik never has a problem with the 6am or 10 pm even though he’s always asleep then, but if it was 7am when it’s light out he’d probably stay up. But right now his nap time is between 1 and 2pm so I always give him his meds before nap time unless he really crashes early. If he doesn’t make it past 12:30 then we wait until after nap time since it’s never more than 2 hours right now and we’ll give it to him at 2:30. On the rare occassion he did sleep longer we woke him up. I’m just not comfortable going longer than an hour. Oh, and Erik’s 18 months old. So I’m sure this’ll change as nap times do and we adjust. Sometimes real life just gets in the way a little, because I have one severely cranky kid if he doesn’t get enough sleep :)
