TerrieAt my current job the insurance is horrible for family, it is a $4000.00 deductible per year and then they cover 80%. It is a $2000.00 deductible for individuals. I only have me on it right now because I lost the state insurance on myself due to my income, they covered my children on OHP for 6 more months but when we are redetermined in May I will loose it on them at $12.50 an hour. I either have to take a cut in wages (if my employer would even do that) or quit my job in a couple months so that Jen and Michael can still get OHP. I will go broke right away at $12.50 an hour with Michael’s medical expenses and don’t have $4000.00 to put out. Does anyone know if there is an affordable insurance that I could possible pay for monthly for our family? I am trying to look at all my options and feel like I am in a rock and a hard spot. I have been trying to look for another job that has better benefits but then I have to go through the same ole thing of dealing with them regarding CAH and missed work. At least where I am out they realize they can not fire me due to missing work when Michael is ill. I wish I was intelligent enough to start my own business so I would not have to deal with the work issue but then I would still be up against the insurance issue unless I was very successful and made a lot of money....lol........anyway if anyone has any input or ideas they will be greatly appreciated. I am trying to find a better way to support my family, take care of my children’s needs and cover the health cost. I guess I am too tired to be creative and at a loss for a better way.
Thanks,
Terrie
