I have a 30 month old daughter who sounds pretty much like yours. We have all kinds of cars, trains, and bulldozers scattered all over our house! However, last time we were out at the bookstore she requested a ’princess’ book and has shown more interest in playing with makeup and hair styles lately.
I think some of it has to do who she’s playing with, tho, instead of the CAH. At her daycare, there used to be 2 older boys she would hang out with. They have both left to go to preschool so now she’s primarily playing with 2 girls which have taken the boys’ spots.
I can’t fault her for playing with boy’s toys- personally, I find them more interesting that baby dolls or Barbies. I also have to admit, she is wearing Thomas the Train ’panties’ at the moment, so I do tend to indulge any boyish tendancies she has!
