re: 3 month old son with CAH

First and foremost, congratulations on your new little one.  Babies are a blessing and you are going to do a wonderful job.  My son is going to be 2 in 3 weeks.  He was diagnosed with CAH at 3 weeks of age.  We were completely devastated at first.  We were worried that he would be in the hospital literally ALL the time, but that is not the case.  We regularly see his endo and go to his routine pediatric appointments, but we have not had any major problems that you don’t have with any other child.  It has been my experience that as long as you are going to his endo appts and giving him his meds on a regular basis, this is a very controlable condition.  This message board has also been a life saver for me.  It is really important to talk to people going through the same things as you are.  You can also look at the CARES website (I can’t remember the exact address, but it is posted on this website).  Once again, congratualtions on the new little guy and don’t hesitate to ask questions here.  Everyone is very open and responsive and are always full of wonderful advice and wisdom.
