Danny CarltonI did a Yahoo search and found sites that offered downloads of executables that would supposedly remove Winfixer, yet other websites warned that those same executables would actually install worse adware.
We use AdAware on our computers and it seems to remove most everything that would cause any trouble. There’s a free version. I’ve never had any problem with AdAware, but make sure it’s AdAware and not adware, which is another version of winfixer. The best bet it to download AdAware directly from the LavaSoft site.
I also am using Microsoft’s new OneSource Virus protection. It also seems to be doing very well at blocking incoming problems.
