My 2 1/2 year old SWCAH daughter just loves cars and balls. She likes to kick soccer balls, hit play t-ball, throw a football and hit golf balls. And, she will sit and watch golf and baseball on tv with my husband, but she also loves Dora, playing with stuffed animals and playing kitchen. She is definitely tougher than my 5 year old daughter though.  It seems we try to label everything that seems a little different--I think it’s probably just the personality differences.  I liked cars when I was a kid, but I also loved dolls.

I was talking to my sister yesterday and she thinks she remembers reading something about how pregnent women were given certain drugs in the 50’s, and depending on what they were taking it may have had extra estrogen or testosterone.  Anyway, she thought that she read that if a fetus was a certain number of weeks old when they received this extra estrogen or testosterone, it would affect how the child would be born (i.e. if the child had extra estrogen, then the child would have more feminine qualities, but more testosterone would mean more masculine qualities).  So she asked me if that could be a possibility with my daughter as she’s a bit aggressive--that having the extra male hormones prior to birth had made her more aggressive.  I said that maybe she read that, but it was later found invalid?? because why would we still be asking these questions if it were valid?  Anyone ever read anything like this?
