  The reason the SWCAH girls prefer boy toys is because the female fetus is exposed to too much testosterone in utero due to the CAH. I can’t recall right now the name for this....something like "testosterone washing" of the brain. I may have that wrong, but anyway, that is the theory behind why little girls with CAH like boys toys, usually choose careers that typically men are in, etc. Of course when the female with CAH is started on the correct meds, the testosterone level decreases to normal but the effects remain.
