TsarahI am a 21 year old college student with no income other than grants and student loans.
I live in WA and i went to DSHS to get health benefits for low-income, but they won’t help me. they tell me that CAH is not life threatening enough to allow me not to work. i told them that if i can’t afford my medicine, i can’t take any. therefore resulting in possible death... when i am dead... how is it that i am supposed to be working?
if there are any answers out there, i would appreciate it.
i have had CAH my whole life and just recently (within the past few days) started to research my actual condition.reading everyone’s posts have helped answer a few questions, though being 21, it is a little hard to relate to stories about 15 month old babies.
also, i havent had blood work done in well over 2 years, how badly do i need to get checked out? i really dont understand this condition. help!
one more thing, i heard that having CAH and being a woman bnasically means that i will not be able to have children... is that true?? because i know at some point in my life i would love to strat a family, and if i am not infertile, how easy is it for my future children to obtain CAH through me?
