I have only posted here a few times but regularly visit this sight. My son has SWCAH and will be two in March. Three weeks ago my husband and I found out we would be expecting our second baby. Needless to say we were thrilled. It took us several years  to get pregnant with our first and this pregnancy happened on the first try! Everything was going great, I felt great. I had meet with the genetic counselor and the high risk ob and I was going to start the dex as soon as a heart beat was confirmed.

On Monday, we went for our ultrasound and there it was a little heart beat! We were thrilled! Our doctor was very happy and said he would see us in two weeks, and he said to go ahead and start the dex.

Later that afternoon I received a call with my blood work levels. My beta(pregnancy hormone)was not doubling the way it had been and they were concerned. My husband and I went yesterday for another ultra sound and there it was again a little heart beat! Should we be happy? The doctor really doesn’t feel this pregnancy will last more than a week because of my low beta levels.

This is just horrible. I know this is in Gods hands and he will ultimately decide what is best. I am just so scared. All prayers and advice on how to cope would be greatly appreciated.
