I have been in a similar situation with the er they think they know all but in reality they cant know everything.  you basically have to act like a maniac to get them to listen and believe me they eventually will especially if you tell them that your childs death may be on their hands if they dont follow protocol which i had to and he finally gave in.   it is crazy what we have to do to make sure our children get the treatment they need. 

i am glad all is better hopfully it stays that way.
