Sherry: I am so sorry for what you have been through. How is your sweetheart doing today? We have experienced the same thing several times so now give the shot ourselves befor going to ER. It is so very fusterating and such a feeling of panic as we watch our kids get sicker as we wait for care in ER. After our last trip & the shot was refused I went to our local family Dr with our Endo letter for treatment, I had my Dr add to this letter IF MOM PRESENTS & CHILD SICK=GIVE SHOT PLEASE He put this on his station head paper from his office. We have no Ped in our area and our Endo is 5 hrs away but local Dr is known at our hospital. In the past some Drs have even refused to call Endo even when I explain & the letter clearly states that they are on call 24/7. We do have a protocal in place at the hospital for treatment but many of the Drs are not willing to or see no need to follow it. I am hoping this new letter will work in the future. So many of us have this problem. Maybe if we all put our heads together we can come up with some system that will work!!!!! Take care & I hope your daughter gets better quickly.Diana
