Oh what a terrible experience... I KNOW you must be exhausted after becoming so emotional. I have had to show myself so bad in the ER that they have threatened to have me removed. This is when I politely tell them if they do not follow the emergency letter and directions for my Granddaughters illness I will seek my attorneys advice on a major lawsuit ASAP. I keep a tablet and write down everyones name who touches her and examines her and the length of time for her to get treatment what they do / the time they do it /  questions I was asked and what I am told. I WRITE everything. Then when things don’t go in the best interest of my child I write to the hospital administration with documentation of how we were treated and how careless they are with my Granddaughters health. There is NO excuse for the ER to put off treatment for these children when there life depends on prompt attention. I also refuse to pay the bill until the problem has been cleared and I am assured this will NOT happen again. I had to explain the criteria for treatment to at least three nurses and then while they were having pizza and giggling ... I blew sky high and left my southern manners at the door. I told them I was going to show my ass so bad they will have to have me removed by the police if they did not do SOMETHING for this child NOW. The next day I went back and appologized for being such a jerk ...but told them I almost lost my child once and I will NEVER standby and watch her be neglected by a medical staff AGAIN! My newest thing is to take my camcorder with me and have my husband tape the care she gets . They tell us to turn it off and I say I will when she is treated.  So far I have had excellent service with the camcorder in tow.  I am OVERLY CAUTIOUS  I KNOW...... but these children deserve and NEED prompt courteous professional health care when they are sick. I don’t care what I have to do to get it for her. I will NEVER let them ABUSE my childs health procedure. Do I look like a nut case...yea ? Do I look like a jerk? YEA... But you have to demand what your child needs or you won’t get it. The first time stall I hit I start documenting and taking names and yelling. I AM THE SQUEAKY WHEEL.  It should not be this way. My prayers for your little one and hope you get some rest soon.
