MarciaThanks for the suggestion. She takes her cortef ideally at 7 am, 3 pm, and 11 pm. Her afternoon dose doesn’t get taken until close to 4 because she doesn’t get home from school until then. With the zero tolerance rule at school, she can’t carry it with her and the school nurse only works one day a week and apparently she’s the only one who can give kids their meds. I talked to her endo this week about circadian dosing, 4 x/day, and the pump. Thanks for suggestions from this website, I was at least able to ask about these, but her doctor said that the most important thing was to make sure her doses were 8 hours apart.
On a different subject, does your daughter read discussions from this site? I’ve tried to encourage my daughter to read some discussions. I think it would make her feel better if she could hear that other kids have similar problems. I’ve noticed that there is a kids board, but she doesn’t seem interested.
