I wanted to explore more options as well and called Kelly at CARES.  It was there she put me in touch with two people, one who had the adrenalectomy and a mother of a child who had the adrenalectomy.  My daughter is scheduled for one in June.  She is hard to control and her adrenals do not work.  Call Kelly, perhaps she can put you in touch with some people who have already gone down the path that you are exploring.
