re: Note from the school nurse
Feb. 15th, 2006   3:25pm

I didn’t hit submit but that went through here’s the note from the nurse:

ATTENTION!!!!!!!!!

Students must be fever free without using fever reducing medication for 24 hours before  returning to school.

Students who have vomited or had diarrhea within the last 24 hours are not permitted to come to school.

Students with strep throat, pinkeye, ringworm or impetigo must have had antibiotics for 24 hours before cpming back to school.

A LOT of students have been coming to school when they should be home.  This is really increasing the number of students who are getting sick.

Please follow these guidelines to avoid the spread of disease.  You would want other parents to keep their children home when they are contagious, so please be considerate.

It also helps if parents tell us when their child has been diagnosed with a contagious disease or illness so that other parents can be warned to observe their children for symptoms.

THANK YOU FOR COOPERATING WITH US!  WE WANT ALL OF OUR STUDENTS TO STAY WELL!

I was very appreciative that the school sent this notice out.  I thought I would share it with you all in case you need to suggest something like this to your school nurse.

Can’t wait til spring!
