Jennifer:  I was just on the LOCAH message board reading about people’s opinions regarding weight.  My experience with my oldest daughter, now 16yrs, is that Florinef directly affected her weight.  The more Florinef, the more her appetite increased and weight gain.   She is actually totally off Florinef now because due to genetic testing it was determined that she is not a salt waster.  However, I have found out that even though someone is not a salt waster, sometimes they are still treated with Cortef & Flornief.  I have also heard that if kids are treated with both medications, they sometimes can out grow Florinef and not need it anymore.
