losing teeth and bone age

Hi all,

My question is about when a child loses his/her first teeth and bone age.  Have you found that your child was on target for losing first teeth, around age 6, if bone age is on target?  If bone age was advanced did your child lose the first teeth early?  How about the 6 year molars?  Did they come in on time or early and was the bone age of your child advanced or not?

I am curious.  About 2 years ago our daughter began growing (finally! after slowly falling off the charts completely.  We then began the circadium rhythm dosing.)  She has been stable at the 75% in both height and weight for the last 1 1/2 years.  My husband and I are both tall (He is 6’5" and I am 5’8")  We, as parents, weren’t too worried about her growth because we are tall and felt she was catching up after being oversuppressed for so long, but her bone age said advanced by 1 year.  (I realize the bone age is very subjective!)  Anyway, now it is supposedly advanced 1 1/2 years but all I read is that bone age can be off plus or minus by 2 years so does this information mean anything???  So my daughter will be 6 in 2 months and she has not lost any teeth and her latest dental x-rays taken yesterday show that she won’t get her 6 year molars for 6 months to a year.  Sorry to ramble.  I am trying to write down all my thoughts on this subject.  I guess I am hoping that there is a correlation between teeth growth and bone age!  Any information out there?!!  I’ve got to go as my 3rd and 4th graders will be coming in any minute!  Thanks!  Julia
