Our bodies are so amazingly and beautifully complex!!!   Cortef can make you gain weight or you can lose some.  Florinef can make you gain weight or lose some.  As I mentioned, by daughter is off Florinef and it was not replaced with anything else.  She is solely on Cortef.  Our bodies require a magnificent and intelligent balance and when man tries to correct the balance, we are apt to have repercussions.    Weight issues, growth issues.   Just do your homework, as you are, consult your doctor, get 2nd opinions and try to figure out your own child’s needs!!  All will be well!!
