re: losing teeth and bone age

It’s funny that you should be wondering about this, as we had the exact OPPOSITE worries a couple of years ago. My dd (SW) started losing her teeth at age just-barely 5, and I thought, "Whoa! This is way too early!! I wonder if it has anything to do with the CAH ....??" Interestingly, she always been quite well controlled, and her bone age is about 1 yr behind her actual age - right where the endos want her. My ds, who is now 11 and does NOT have CAH (not a carrier, either), didn’t GET any teeth until he was a few days away from his first birthday, and didn’t lose his first tooth until he was almost 8! I think that maybe the "average" ages for tooth loss are just that. As to whether CAH plays a part .... it’ll be interesting to find out .... !!
