I have been giving my grandson who is 9yrs old SWCAH his cortef 3 x a day along with the florinef.

He gets his am dose of cortef 5mg along with the florinef at 7:00 am, then between 1:30 - 2:00 pm he gets his afternoon dose which is 2.5 mg of cortef at school and at  bedtime he gets his cortef 5 mg at 8:00.  This routine has been going on since he started Kindergarten and is now in the 3rd grade. His labs, bone age, height & weight are great! 

We tried giving him his afternoon dose after school but that would be around 4:00. So the nurse gives it to him at school. He now seems not so sick as much at school at has more energy???. It has worked!!
