To all that posted: Your children are approximately the age my son was when his levels became difficult to control. Please don’t do what we did!!! We had an endo who in the end we found out wasn’t as well versed in treating CAH as we were lead to believe. When my son’s 17OHP started going through the roof she started increasing the Cortef. At one point he was taking 35mg a day and still out of control. This was with dosing at 6am, 3pm and at bedtime. We switched doctors, lowered the dosage to 20 mg a day and starting dosing at 4:30am, 3pm (afterschool) and at bedtime. His levels have been perfect since we changed the schedule. That’s great if you can let your kids sleep a little longer, just be aware that if the bone age or the 17OHP starts increasing you might need to try something different. We ended up having to put my son on Lupron to due to advanced bone age.Cheryl
