I grew up really fast when Ashley (10 1/2 SWCAH) was born.  I was only 19 and alone.  Not only was I dealing with a bi-racial child but a child with some form of an illness that I knew nothing about.  I matured, went back to school, graduated from college and reconnected with God.  That’s why it was a good thing for me.

For Ashley, she says, going to Chuck E. Cheese after her endo visit.  We stay there for 2-3 hours.  It’s a special treat for her, and she gets to skip school.  It makes the day better for her.  She really enjoys it.

Plus, the medical terminology makes me feel smarter than some people. :-)
