What was the level on her original test?  My son’s original number and the numbers on his stim test were in the grey area between carrier and LOCAH.  If she had a high number on the initial blood test (I know she never had the stim test) then you may be lucky that they treated her.  My son had genetic testing and they initially refused to treat him even though he had symptoms.  I think you have to weigh taking her off all cortef at the age of 8 carefully.  Perhaps the drug itself has made her adrenals less capable now of doing their job.  You don’t want her to go into puberty at 8 if height is a problem.  My daughter started puberty at 8 and had no treatment and she’s 5’2" and I’m 5’6" and my husband is 6’2".  So if we were a shorter family she would probably have not made it to 5 feet.

In short - don’t worry about the DNA.  The important thing is her levels and symptoms.  According to the gospel, carriers have no symptoms but this just isn’t true.
