Sorry hit ’send’ inadvertently -I read (I think on this board) that hypoglycemia was part of adrenal crisis - that it was common to have low blood sugar in that event. Also the emergency letter that CARES sent out lists "D5 normal saline at 20cc/Kg" as part of the treatment for CAH (D5 being 5% dextrose - essentially sugar in water).
So I carry sugar along with the stuff for emergency injection of SoluCortef. But I’m not sure why hypoglycemia and adrenal crisis go together.
