My 11 year old SWCAH son gets headaches occasionally or sometimes doesn’t feel well (like most of us).  But through the years of reading and learning I have heard much about low blood sugar with the CAH.  Now instead of giving him something for his headache I try a glass of O/J or a piece of hard candy or even just eating something..... sometimes I find it was definitely low blood sugar because he’s fine very quickly and then other times I find he just has a headache.  I have mentioned it to his endo and she said that typically the low sugar is due to crisis but sometimes it will drop if they are fighting something.  He has always been very well maintained so we have never contributed it to that not being the case.  She agrees with my approach as it works for him.
