CARES - - Please Call Legislators in West Virginia to Pass Newborn Screening Bill
Mar. 3rd, 2006   4:10pm

The West Virginia Legislature is considering a bill to expand newborn screening in the state to include testing for CAH.  It passed the House earlier this year and is awaiting review by the Health & Human Resources Committee of the Senate.  If it is introduced by the committee to the full senate before the end of next week (3/11), it could be made LAW.

PLEASE contact Senator Roman Prezioso, the Chair of the Health & Human Resources Committee, to urge him to immediately post the bill on the agenda of his committee.  His telephone number is (304) 357-7961 or email him at cglagola@mail.wvnet.edu.

With the loss of our database in the fire, we are unable to contact our West Virginia member families directly.  Please pass the word!!!
