Susan AAfternoon has always been a rather bad time for me as well. Especially around 4pm (weird) Everytime I get a migraine it is within an hour of 4pm. Guess my lunch has worn off, I’m tired from teaching all day, and I don’t know about my cortisol? I am taking my steroids at around lunch time lately (dexamethasone). Dosing seems to change - - some days I end up taking them earlier if I’m especially tired or stressed - then I tend to work my way back to taking them later in the afternoon - but invariably I end up back at lunchtime. RIght before lunch I tend to get really dizzy (lack of blood sugar and steroids) so I have been taking my steroids at that time.
Before diagnosis I used to come home from school and go to bed (this was in highschool) with a HORRIBLE headache almost every day. I would sleep for an hour of so just to not have to feel the pain.
