I heard on the news the other day that if you got your flu shot early in the season, it may not be effective any more.  That could be a problem in parts of the country where we have had a warmer than normal winter and spring.  I live in Virginia and they were talking in particular about this part of the country.

The other thing I wanted to mention is that the flu is respiratory - sore throat, fever, coughing, congestion, etc.  Flu does not cause vomiting unless is it secondary to all the other (i.e. caused by severe coughing, mucus draining etc.)  My daughter has had 2 stomach viruses already this year and they were nasty.

Good luck to all - just hold on until summer.  It will be here before we know it and then we will have the heat to contend with!
