The orthopaedist said that the only real option was surgery. We didn’t get a second opinion cause he was super nice and seemed knowledgable- maybe there are other ways to treat it that I don’t know of.
Once we saw what was going on with Kate’s thumbs, we took her to the pediatrician, who then told us to go to the ortho to get the diagnosis (which was an xray and him feeling for the knot in the ligament). Maybe you should also start with your pediatrician- she might be able to keep an eye on it herself and decide when you really need to go see the ortho!
