MomoffourHello :) I have four children, and my youngest one is the only with SWCAH. He is 18 months old and weighs 17 lbs 3 0z, and is also very short for his age. I am a pretty small person ( only 5’0 tall) and my husband is average height, with a small frame. My other children were bigger than Brayden (my youngest) at this age, although none of them were on the large side. Brayden has had several tests done, including bone age, which showed up as being non-advanced. Some doctors have tried to tell me that he is just genetically small, and maybe thats true, but I do feel his size has something to do with his CAH. He still wears size 6-9 months clothes...just now starting to fit into a few 12 months :)
Either way...he’s a happy little guy, healthy (for the most part), active, and funny. He thinks he’s a "big boy" that can keep up with his big brothers and sisters. He does seem to not be as verbal as his brothers and sisters. At this age, they seemed to be talking more, and were easier to understand. But he always finds a way to get his point across!
I hope our little one’s will one day take off growing and surprise us all. I guess one advantage....they’re pretty easy to carry around :)
