I think none of us should EVER give up hoping and praying for one. Although when I ask my 8 and a half year old daughter what she would wish for, and she gives me "the lottery", I say to her, "Don’t you ever want a cure for your CAH?!" and she shrugs her shoulders and says, "Why, I am like any other kid but I have to take medicine every day. So what." I pray her attitude stays like that forever. In the meantime her mom prays for a miracle every day. I can remember someone asking me if I did pray for a miracle cure. I chuckled and said, "No, I can’t ever imagine something that big happening." And then she said, "Why not?" WOW. I was floored by those words. Why not? Why not? She said miracles has happened since forever. "Look in the bible," she told me. How could I not believe a miracle cure could some where come up one day? I thought about it and then asked my mom what she thought. She told me she has prayed EVERY night since my daughter was born for a miracle cure. So then I decided to pray for one. Do you know the very next day I logged onto this website and low and behold, there was a posting about Dr. New and her research for a cure. So never give up hope that there will be a cure one day, and that one day there will be better treatment for our children with CAH.Laura
