Hi Step! I read your blog, Wow it must have taken alot for you to share that with us- Thank you. I have a 2 year old daughter who has swcah. She had her surgery before she was 1 year old, I think she looks ’normal’ now, will that change? will she need more reconstructive surgery as she gets older? How can I help her as she gets older to deal with these feelings? I don’t want to get to personal here, but I am a pretty open person so if some of these questions get to personal you don’t have to answer. Do you really not have feeling down there? When my daughter had her surgery she had the enlarged clitoras and she also had no vaginal opening, they gave her the opening and shrunk her clit, will she not have feeling down there? What are you talking about with the thing to stretch it? will she have to do that? will she be able to get pregnant? I have so many questions but I just can’t put them into words. I am so new to this whole thing, my daughter is 2 and was diagnosed at birth, but my main concern then was her meds and the normal baby stuff, now my concern is for her future and how she will feel as a young woman, I don’t want her to feel like any less of a woman, she is completely female and that is how I want her to feel. How can I help her to understand and express her feelings in a healthy way, what can I do for her? Please help- Thanks again for sharing such personal information with us, Take care- Michelle
