re: re: Blood work day....

We just had bloodwork last week (I’d still think our girls were "twins seperated at birth" if I hadn’t BEEN there to know better!; ), and I know what you mean, Laura.

It took a long time after discovering EMLA for my daughter to really accept that it would work!! When she was about 7, things turned around dramatically, and it’s no big deal for us all now (and I don’t lose any sleep over it anymore, either!). We started a tradition of sorts when dd was about 3: we have the bloodwork done, and then go out for breakfast! We don’t go out to eat that often, so this is a real treat for her - so much so, that the last time I told her we were going for bloodwork, she asked me, "Where should we have breakfast afterward?!"

God is good ... : )
