Before the days of blood tests for 17-OHP etc. all the testing was done via 24 hour urine collections. Apart from the askance looks from my brothers and sister as the very large urine bottle was kept in the fridge (in a brown paper bag - how embarrasing) until the collection was finished and prior to delivery to the lab, that was the only pain we had.

Anyone else relate to that!

No regular blood work was done until adulthood - perhaps this was the only plus to us pioneers of CAH treatment.
