KateHi guys,
I was really interested to read your posts on this topic. Since 2004 I have been working with an organisation called CLAN (CAH Living As Neighbours - www.cahclan.org), and am interested particularly in the situation of children living with CAH in resource-poor countries of the world. We are excited about changes seen in Vietnam and the Philippines in particular, but as we have not yet had any experience with the situation in China, it was really helpful to hear your stories.
If anyone was willing, I’d really appreciate the chance to learn more about the situation in China, and peoples’ experiences with the adoption of children with CAH from other countries (kate@cahclan.org). Whilst CLAN is committed to effecting change, and improving affordable access to medication and treatment for CAH, it is too late for those babies who have already found their way into orphanages... it is wonderful these children have another chance at life ahead of them now.
Kind Regards,
Kate.
