I think one of the worst side effects that I had from prednisone is the fact that I get sick in the sun.  Sometimes if you’re outside for too long you’ll start to get nausea or you’ll get a headache.  As for any other type of problems, I have not gained weight.  I have managed to stay at 115 for years since I have been on it.  When I was on Dexa, I gained up to 175.  I’m only 5’2, so that was pretty bad on me.  The highest dosage I have taken from being on Prednisone was about 10 mg.  That was not too bad, but my Doctor finally put me on 5 mg one day and 7.5 mg the next.  He figures that 5 is too little and 7.5 is too much, so by having to do it every other day I will be regulated.  He was right because I actually got pregnant.  Before I took it like that, I would go for months without a period.  I hope that anything I have to say will help.  If you have any questions let me know because I think prednisone is the way to go considering that Dexa was horrible.
