We just went to something similar. We could not figure out why my 6 year old daugher was all of a sudden moody and emotional and not wanting to go to school. Well after about 4to 6 weeks we had lab work done and her levels were over 2000. She was on a very small dose of hydrocortisone 0.9cc three times daily. She now takes 2.5 mg. three times a day, talk about a big jump. I thought for sure it was going to be to much, It was not. Her levels are now back to normal just a little over 100. And she is definately a much more pleasant person, we now just drop her off  at school and she walks right in, no longer do we have to drag her in kicking and screaming. Talk about change, she still acts up everyonce in a while but, usually its because she is tired.  Hope this helped some. Hang in there it does get better.
