Salt vs urine output
Apr. 13th, 2006   12:57pm

Since there are varying degrees of aldosterone impairment in CAH, is there a difference in how the body responds to a sudden increase in hydration?

Would a moderate salt waster simply dump dilute urine rapidly, and not lose too much sodium?

If their salt intake is low, would their body adopt a compensatory dehydrated state, and shut off their thirst mechanism for extended periods?
