Hi Betsy, I don’t know whether I consider myself ’old’ in years but I certainly feel old at times. I haven’t been taking Prednisolone quite as long as you, but it is 47 years since I was diagnosed and I have been on Prednisolone most of that time.

The past few months I have been on Hydrocortisone and it does not have the anti-inflammatory side-effects that Pred has. I am beginning to wonder if that was what kept some of my sore joints and muscles at bay to a degree, because I am more stiff in muscles and have painful joints now.

After sitting for a few minutes I am very stiff and sore when I stand up and try to walk. At those times I do look and feel old. Sometimes I walk very slowly as I cannot get my legs to move; other times I’m almost normal.

I take lots of supportive therapies to keep me going. Multi-vitamins, minerals, DHEA, oestrogen cream, progesterone, calcium and one or two others things - I can’t remember at present. I regularly visit a Chiropracter, physiotherapist, myotherapist & podiatrist and of course the endo’s. Some weeks I feel like I spend my time sitting in waiting rooms!

How about yourself?
